Tom Grennan - Sober

Tom Grennan

Sober

New Single Out Now.

“Think a badass James Bay and you’re halfway there…” NME

"A cross between the deep, estuarial soul of Adele and the jaded experience of Wimbledon troubadour Jamie T” The Telegraph

“With Paolo Nutini-esque tones, Tom’s vocals are hypnotically beautiful and completely enchanting” Wonderland Magazine

“Grennan has an incredible voice and he's an electrifying live performer: there's something about his lyrics that really hit home as well, in the same way as Kate Tempest or Paolo Nutini” The Independent

“A sensitive, soulful songwriter” The Guardian

Getting its first play as Annie’s Hottest Record in the World on Radio 1 ‘Sober’ is the new single from Tom Grennan. It’s the follow-up to the huge single ‘Royal Highness’ which featured on the Radio 1 B List and Virgin playlists, and saw him record a Maida Vale Session for Annie Mac. ‘Sober’ is another taste of Tom’s forthcoming debut album ‘Lighting Matches’ released on Insanity Records.

Tom said “I wanted to write about always getting really drunk. At one point in my life, I hated getting drunk, but I was always doing it, and the morning after I would always feel guilty. Then the next day I would get fucked up again. It's about me not letting myself get sober. Then it took this whole different twist. It's like a Bond song, and it's one of the only songs on the record that takes me on a rollercoaster.”

Tom’s debut album ‘Lighting Matches’ will be released in May on Insanity Records, it sees Tom working with Grammy award winning producer Fraser T Smith (Stormzy / Adele / Kano / Plan B) and Dan Grech (Liam Gallagher / Killers / Radiohead) and is set to be one of the most important debut albums of 2018.

Lighting Matches also features the single ‘Found What I’ve Been Looking For’, which was being used as the title music to Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage and has racked up over 10million streams.

Tom also features on Bugzy Malone‘s ‘Memory Lane’ single, which was playlisted at Radio 1 and features on Bugzy’s Top 5 album King Of The North.

In March Grennan starts his biggest headline tour yet and includes a show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 20th March. The tour is now SOLD OUT.
