NEW SINGLE 'EGO' FT TY DOLLA $IGN OUT NOW!
Following her recent Top 10 smash collaboration ‘Came Here For Love’ with Sigala, London-native Ella Eyre is back with a blistering new single ‘Ego’ featuring US hip hop sensation Ty Dolla $ign.
The brand new track comes hot on the heels of what has been a busy summer so far for Ella. A recent appearance on the red carpet for the launch of the prestigious Hyundai Mercury Prize sees her judging this year’s shortlist, alongside a string of dates supporting Little Mix as well as various festival appearances including V Festival and Fusion.
With her rich, sultry vocals and trademark lyricism, ‘Ego’ is the perfect sun-drenched anthem for anyone recently in lust.
“I’m thinking ‘bout you, I’m drinking bout you, I hate that I do. Now you know … don’t let it blow up your ego” proclaims Ella in the kind of newly acquired air of confidence that comes with being unafraid to truly embrace who she is.
The song, says Ella, “represents the start of every single one of my relationships. I always end up dating really arrogant boys - strong-willed, creative, charismatic, interesting boys, but boys that never really hand it to you on a plate. This song is just toying with that; you fancy them but you don't wanna admit it.”
With already a Top 5 debut album (Feline), a BRIT Award (Best British Single for Rudimental’s ‘Waiting All Night’), writing credits on some of the biggest chart smashes in recent years and collaborations with some of the UK’s most renowned acts already under her belt (Rudimental, DJ Fresh, Naughty boy), you’d be forgiven for assuming Eyre is older than her 23. And, with new material underway, the next twelve months are sure to be the busiest yet for one of the UK’s most exciting pop stars.
