Easy Life have unveiled brand new single ‘Nice Guys’, which is available now on Island Records and received its first play as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in The World on BBC Radio 1. The unstoppable Leicester five-piece have also confirmed details of their ‘Junk Food’ global tour, which is on sale now and includes a date at London’s Roundhouse on March 26th. The band are currently playing to long-sold-out crowds nationwide in support of latest mixtape ‘Spaceships’ and the environmental-themed ‘Earth’, with news of their next project coming soon.

‘Nice Guys’ is a wry, playful anthem for the outsider from Easy Life, who appear to be hitting their stride as the UK’s most essential new band. That five guys from Leicester, barely in their twenties, can summon the laidback groove of Kaytranada or recall the jazz-infused funk of Anderson Paak with such ease is a testament not only to Easy Life’s innate musicality (that’s them, even on the horns) - but also their boundless, deeply optimistic approach to the present day, where you must never settle for an Easy Life.

In what’s already been a breakout 2019, Easy Life have continued to refine their charismatic but confessional way with the minutiae of everyday life. Theirs is a genre-busting attitude that, like many of their generation, draws no line between a love of hip-hop, R&B, and great British storytellers. On a personal level, Easy Life have also come to represent the power of hard graft and a positive outlook when national optimism seems in particularly short supply. From Murray’s upbringing on a farm in Leicester to lyrics that tackle the future of the planet (‘Earth’) or male mental health (‘Nightmares’) down to daily essentials like ‘OJPL’, everything about Easy Life appears effortless, even though the reality has been quite the opposite. To watch them play to sizeable crowds already singing back every word is to renew your faith in the fact that ‘Nice Guys’ don’t, actually, always come last.
