Praying

Tom Grennan releases his new EP ‘Release the Brakes’ on 10th March, with the lead track ‘Praying’ now available.

"A cross between the deep, estuarial soul of Adele and the jaded experience of Wimbledon troubadour Jamie T.” The Telegraph

“Grennan has an incredible voice and he's an electrifying live performer: there's something about his lyrics that really hit home as well, in the same way as Kate Tempest or Paolo Nutini.” The Independent

“a sensitive, soulful songwriter” The Guardian

‘Release the Brakes’ is the follow-up to his debut EP ‘Something in the Water’ which was released in September last year and was the catalyst for the whirlwind of end of year polls and tips for 2017 including BBC Sound Poll, MTV Names of 2017 and coming joint second in The Guardian’s Poll of Polls.

Production wise, ‘Release the Brakes’ is a step up from ‘Something in the Water’, a bigger sound with fire in its belly and Grennan’s raspy, soulful vocals at the heart of every track. The lead track ‘Praying’ is a song of personal journeys and hope, “The inspiration came from being on a pathway without direction but knowing that there's a better path to be on and waiting on the brighter days to come” says Grennan.

In the Autumn of last year Grennan guested on the Chase & Status single ‘All Goes Wrong’ which saw him make his debut performance on Later with Jools Holland, performing at MOBO Awards and recording an incredible Live Lounge for Clara Amfo.

Grennan is currently on his sold out UK tour which included an incredible headline show at Bush Hall at the start of the February.
