Who Would’ve Known (Single)
24th February 2014

Morain (muh-rain) charge forward in 2014 with ‘Who Would’ve Known’, the lead single from their forthcoming EP, ‘Worlds Apart’ (April 21st). This new release is Morain in a nutshell: 3 minutes and 33 seconds of emotive, expansive guitar music, tailored into the perfect pop-rock song.

After the success of 2012’s debut EP, ‘Are We Lost’ (released on Futures’ Indigo Records) the Wakefield four-piece spent 2013 writing, recording and relentlessly gigging. Highlights included a UK tour with Canterbury and a packed Club NME show at KOKO, London. In August they went back into the studio with longstanding confidant, Roni Szpakowski, and captured the four anecdotal tracks, which make up the ‘Worlds Apart’ EP.

The lyrical focus is on the feelings of losing grip on an emotional constant in your life and yet, in spite of the void, there is a realisation that light is at the end of the tunnel.

With euphoric melodies and infectious hooks galore, ‘Who Would’ve Known’ is the track charged with continuing the story of one of Britain’s most exciting young rock bands.
