Brit winning singer-songwriter Ella Eyre releases her hugely anticipated debut album, Feline on August 28th.
Feline is the musings, thoughts and feelings of a young woman living and loving life, even when the going gets tough! As effervescent as Eyre’s own mane of leonine hair, it’s vibrant, it’s boisterous, it’s confident and it’s full of sharp song-writing and superlative choruses.
Since making her name as one of the UK’s most enthralling and captivating debut female singers, Ella has gone on to travel the world, signed record and publishing deals, fallen in – and out – of love, scored a number of hits, both of her own and as a writer for other artists, become a much in-demand figure within the fashion world including the face of Emporio Armani Diamond’s perfume and generally navigated the highs – and lows – of the record industry, love and life itself.
Ella has poured all these experiences, good and bad, into Feline. Infused with a strong sense of empowerment and the occasional flash of vulnerability, it’s a remarkably honest album from someone who just recently turned 21 years-old. “It’s about the relationship between me and the world,” says Ella. “Everyone has their everyday battles, and Feline is about how we deal with them.”
The record features production from Greg Wells, (Adele, Katy Perry), Futurecut, Utters (Drake), Jarrad Rogers (Lana Del Rey, Lauryn Hill), Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith) and Chris Loco (Kwabs, Wiley) and was recorded in London, Stockholm and Los Angeles. Featuring all the hit singles as well as forthcoming single Good Times, the album also includes Gravity, Ella’s top 5 collaboration with DJ Fresh and an exclusive version of the BRIT winning ‘Waiting All Night'.
Having taken all she’s learnt – and yet to figure out – and poured it into perfectly executed tracks, Feline is a triumphant debut from one of the UK’s most exciting stand out new singers. It marks not only her current achievements, but points towards an increasingly exhilarating future for the Londoner who is one of the most exciting voices contributing to pop culture right now.
