ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE 'FRIEND'
TO BE RELEASED WITH DEBUT ALBUM 'WANT IT NEED IT'
ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2016 THROUGH IGNITION RECORDS .
Glasgow three-piece Baby Strange have announced their new single ‘Friend’, which will be released alongside their debut album Want It Need It on September 2nd, 2016 through Ignition Records. “’Friend’ is about this girl that came to a party we were at, no one knew who she was and she was a bit of a mystery,” says frontman Johnny Madden. “After she left people started freaking out about things being missing, like my keys. I still don't know who she is and she probably has no idea we wrote a song about her. When it comes to playing the song live people usually climb over the barrier and get involved in a stage invasion, it's always a riot playing that song at the end of the set and we're buzzing to put it out as a single.”
The album Want It Need It is available to pre-order now complete with an instant download of ‘Friend’ plus album title track ‘Want It Need It’. A limited number of signed CDs are also available from Babystrange.tmstor.es
Baby Strange are the newest evolution of punk rock’n’roll. Having toured tirelessly in recent years, building an enthusiastically rampant live audience and fully maintaining their DIY ethos by creating their own artwork and videos, Johnny Madden, Connaire McCann and Aidan McCann of Baby Strange are now set to release a debut album that embodies the same power, raucousness and spirit of their incendiary live shows.
Having recently played several festivals including Truck and Tramlines with Electric Fields to follow, Baby Strange will embark on a headline tour in September. They have also just announced a co-headline show with White at Glasgow's O2 ABC on 16th December. Full details of the live shows below.
