Ted Zed's new single Alien Monday has recently gained support at Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and XFM and been added to THE HYPE MACHINE blog. The 19 year old multi-instrumentalist and electronic wunderkind also featured as The Guardian’s New Band Of The Day in February, where he is described as "a Todd Rundgren-obsessed wizard".

Ted Zed was discovered by renowned producer Dan Carey aka Mr Dan (Hot Chip), leading to a deal with BMG and working with Elliot (Bloc Party) James and Martin “Youth” Glover.

With the official Alien Monday video having recently been chosen by Daft Punk, Calvin Harris and Avicii for their VEVO play-lists, a remix of the track was also created by electronic producer Mac Stanton.

After gaining attention for his energetic live shows, which included a three month residency with Club NME at London’s KOKO last year, Ted Zed is excited to announce a headline show at The Black Heart in London on May 14th, alongside confirmed festival slots at both The Great Escape and Secret Garden Party.

Ted Zed’s live shows are impressive and full of energy; you’ll find Ted triggering and manipulating pre-recorded sounds, samples and video projections, while providing live guitar and vocals, backed up by George Cook (Drums) and Mike Hawkins (Bass).
