The new four track U Kill Me EP is a prelude to Flight Brigade’s stunning debut album coming this Autumn. Lead track U Kill Me is the band at their adrenaline fuelled best, “a maelstrom of infectious energy” (Now Then Magazine live review). Tearaway is another big crowd/fan favourite from their live shows. Thick As Thieves, based on the true story of popular American baseball player, Detroit Tiger’s Max Scherzer and the tragic death of his younger brother Alex, spotlights the close relationship of the brothers and the effects of Alex’s suicide. The emotive string arrangement calls to mind Sigur Ros and Explosions In The Sky, the harmonies of Low and the softer orchestration of M83. Dust & Glory is a stripped down Flight Brigade, highlighting another of their secret weapons, Dorry’s vocals. A beautiful track destined to be featured on future episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and much more.

2015 was an incredibly busy and successful year for Flight Brigade. With rave reviews for their EP, Stealing Fire, along with Record of the Day’s “the best unsigned band we saw live at The Great Escape”, they played packed out stages at Glastonbury and Bestival and had their first TV feature (of their “When We Were Young” video) on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.
Continuing the upward trajectory, 2016 opened with “When We Were Young” featured as “Shock of the New” on Radio X as the band finished golden song-writing sessions while recording and mixing on the South Coast.
Flight Brigade is currently touring the UK, playinga celebratory end of tour show atLondon’s Black Heart venue on 20th April, with Camden Rock’s Festival appearance on 4th June.
The band’s live schedule rolls out another festival-filled Summer leading up to the release of their as yet untitled debut album in September. Flight Brigade will embark on a full UK tour in October together with their first European shows. Check their website for announced tour dates.
